Bromophenol blue sodium salt is a tracking dye for protein or nucleic acid electrophoresis in polyacrylamide or agarose gels. Keep away from strong oxidizing agents. It is used in analytical chemistry as Ph indicators. It is also used as a tracking dye for alkaline and neutral buffer systems. It is used as an acid-base indicator and a gel electrophoresis color marker.
