CHDM is a precursor to polyesters. It is one of the most important co-monomers for production of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), or polyethylene terephthalic ester (PETE).

Applications
CHDM is a precursor to polyesters. It is one of the most important co-monomers for production of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), or polyethylene terephthalic ester (PETE).

Miscible with water, glycolether and ketones.
